should be D*D/162 right but that's coming from below
calculation. so,this concept is main.

wt/m = area of bar*unit weight of steel
=22/7*1/4*(D)^2*(7850)/10^6 = 0.0061678*(D)^2
= (1/0.0061678)*D^2 = D^2/162.13

Ex.for 12mm dia.= 12^2/162.13 = 144/162.13= 0.888 kgs/m
