In step down transformer (415/200V),mistakenly secondary
side is connected to 415V for some hours, what would be
result of this condition?
Answer Posted / sanket patil
First of all primary and secondary of a transformer are
decided after putting it in the service. Hence the windings
of transformer are referred as HV and Lv windings.
Now if the HV winding is connected as a secondary then
the xmer will work satisfactorily
In the another case if 220V wdg is connected to the 415V
supply the answer is same as explained by other friends.
