loads are used to inject the reactive power which reduces the
lagging reactive power by which the power factor is improved

secondary side

its on secondary side. if it is placed on primary side and
when the voltage is increased magnetic core will be saturated
and if the voltage is reduced the magnetic core is not fully
used...... and mostly tappings are provided on HV side because
the current on HV side is less where it is high on LT side. so
when short circuit occurs no damage will happen thats y
tappins are provided on HT side
