Question { 4747 }

A 100 KW GENERATOR , only 50 kw load is connected then how
much power generated by generator

Answer

it generator generate only the 50kW only...But whether this
like 50% of load is connected in the generator means the
generator will gives only 50% efficiency and 50% of
powerfactor.....

i.e the generator efficiency is reduces....

Question { 3532 }

what is the difference between potential transformer and
capacitive voltage transformer?

Answer

Potential Transformer:
This Potential transformer is used upto 66kV only..
because after the ranges of voltage it's manufacturing is
difficult..

Capacitive Voltage Transformer:
This CVT is used above 66kV voltage..In this CVT, Connects
the Capacitors in series and it reduces voltages and then
that reduced amount of voltage is feed to the step down
transformer...

This CVT is connected with the Wave Trap then this is used
for communication between the substations.....

This CVT is reduces the losses and eliminates the high
frequencies..

Question { 3974 }

what type of relay has to be used for tripping the circuit
from mains when a fault occur in a machine

Answer

Over current relay has to protect the circuit from over
current..i.e. in the circuit if any overcurrent produced due
to the short circuit occured,then this overcurrent relay to
protect the circuit.

Question { 7072 }

for 644KW load which MCCB should i use

Answer

If i consider your 644kW load as a motor then,

I Assumed some parameters are:
644kW Motor, Power Factor - 0.9, Efficiency - 0.9, Load
Connected Voltage - 415V Then,

I = (644*1000) / (1.732*415*0.9*0.9) = 1106Amps
Considering 20% Margin = 1106 * 1.20 = 1327Amps

Conclusion:
So, We can choose Breaker rating is higher than that
1327Amps. Generally no one use the MCCB breaker above
800Amps. So, we can prefer the 1600Amps VCB Breaker for that
644kW Load.

Question { IBM, 3832 }

what is the phase voltage and line voltage in 2 phase power
supply?

Answer

If considering Two lines are R and Y means

Phase Voltage : The phase voltage means the R line and
Neutral voltage difference is Phase voltage.

Line Voltage : It defines the R line and Y line voltage
difference is line voltage
