I agree withe 1st ans, and also solution manager is
mandtary for ecc 6.0 , if you want to install any systems
in land scap(dev,qas,prod)for ecc, bi,ep,grc, these
systems we have to to regester in the solution manager in
installation phase.

1ST: T-CODE DB03-----CLICK ON INIT.ORA TAB
Here 'log_archive_start' set to TRUE, Then it is in
archive log mode

2ND: Login as ora and check the init.ora file
check the parameter 'log_archive_start' in init.ora
file, if it is set as 'true' then archive is enabled.

3rd :SQL>archive loglist then it shows
archive logmode enabled or disabled.
