ok here is the answer
befor assing ip address you have to determine that what
class of ip you are going to give to your pc
for classs mask
A 255.0.0.0
B 255.255.0.0
c 255.255.255.0
here i assumed that you know about ip address classes and
its range
now how to assign ip address to your pc
go to
control panel---------click on network connection------
rightclick on you lanconection-----------go to properties---
--------go to tcp(last one)--------click on propreties tab--
---------------- assighn ip address(manualy)-----mask will
come atomatclay-------------defaultgateway should be used
and depedet upon your swtic/firwall/router conf.commenly we
use x.x.x.1 herer x is you ip claxx digit
if you donot know any thing abou default gate way
click on atomatic ip address button and dns server ---------
--------------click on ok--------------------click on close
