The Speed Ratio for any given gear box is Calculated by
following relation
T1/T2 =N2/N1
so Speed of Driven or Follower gear will be
N2 = (T1/T2)*N1

The speed of the gear box or no : of teeths of gears can be
calcullated by N1/N2=T2/T1. If you know three valves we can
find out the forth one.
Normally the GB ratio is mentioned in 5 :1,10:1 like.
Ex : GB ratio is 30 : 1 that means 30 revalutions of worm
shaft is equal to 1 revalution of worm wheel.

There is two types. .....
1 . Gear box
2 . Gear ratio.
For gearbox ratio you should know input rpm or torque and out put rpm or torque.
T1 / T2 = N2 / N1.
T1 = No. Of teeth on driven
T2 = No of teeth on driver
N2 = o/p rpm
N1 = I/p rpm
For finding gear ratio...
Ratio = T1 / T2.
