Off Load Tap changer generator Step-up Transformer, My
question is, is safe to operate the tap say I want to
change the tap position from 3 to 4, there is not load on
the transformer but a 22000v 0r 1100 v is present on the
secondary side from the common Bus *22000V/415 v

off load tap changer is not only on no load on transformer
but transformer should be de-enrgised condition i.e.
voltage on supply side should be cut-off. This is due to
off-load tap changer is not designed to change the tap when
on voltage energisation.
