Answer / s.sindhu
monosaccharides and disaccharides answer to the barfoed's
test but monosaccharides give the colour immediately when
compared to di.polysaccharides do not answer the barfoed's
if it is answering means the hydrolysis of polysaccharide
to mono or disaccharide may take place

Answer / roshni
barfoed test is answered only by reducing sugars such as
glucose(monosaccharides), polysaccharides doesnt answer
barfoed test as they are non reducing, but on hydrolysis
into monosaccharides they may answer this test.

Answer / sowrabhi
it doesnot answer the test.this test is to distingush
between monosaccharides and reducing disaccharides..starch
is non-reducing because it doesnt have free anomeric OH
groups which is important to reduce barfoeds reagent.
