what is the rate of TDS for transpotation..

On or after 1-10-2009 Tds of the Transporter for
Individuals/HUF is 1% and others 2%
No surcharge and cess is applicable from 1-04-2009.
If any transporter provides PAN, the TDS on contract
payment in NIL.
In case PAN is not furnished TDS is to be deducted at the
above rates only.
