. A train travels a certain distance taking 7 hrs in forward journey, during the return journey in..

Answer / priyanka

Suppose initial speed for train is v kmph .
Distance traveled during forward journey = v * 7
Distance traveled during return journey = (v+12)*5
As we know,
Distance traveled during forward journey = Distance traveled
during return journey
v * 7 = (v+12)*5
2v = 60
v = 30
Distance in forward journey = 7*30 = 210
Total distance travelled is = 210*2 = 420
