CLIENT SERVER MODEL IS A COMMUNICATION MODEL USED IN NETWORKING
BY THIS MODEL WE SHARE THE WORK LOAD B/W 2 PARTIES -->CLIENT AND SERVER
USUALLY A CLIENT AND SERVER MAY RESIDE ON DIFF. MACHINES BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARY ,THEY MAY ALSO BE PRESENT ON THE SAME MACHINE
IT IS NOT NECESSARY THAT A CLIENT SERVER MODEL IS 2 TIER ,IT CAN ALSO BE 3TIER

IN CLIENT SERVER ARCHITECTURE YOUR PRESENTATION SERVER THAT
IS THE SAP GUI INSTALLED ON THE PC ACTS AS THE CLIENT THE
REQUESTS NOW GOES TO THE APPLICATION SERVER THE CONNECTION
B/W PRESENTATION SERVER AND APPLICATION SERVER IS MADE
THROUGH DISPATCHER WHICH RESIDES ON APPLICATION SERVER THE
DISPATCHER ALLOCATES THE REQUEST TO THE WORK PROCESS
DEPENDING ON ITS TYPE FOR EXAMPLE IF IT IS DIALOG REQUEST
THEN THE REQUEST IS ALLOCATED TO DIALOG WORK PROCESS AND IF
IT IS A BACKGROUND JOB THEN IT IS EXECUTED VIA DIALOG WORK
PROCESS SIMILARLY OTHER TYPES OF REQUESTS ARE HANDLED BY
SPOOL ENQUEUE WORK PROCESS ETC NOW THE REQUEST GOES TO THE
DATABASE THROUGH THE DATABASE SERVER THE DATA IS FETCHED AND
THE REQUEST IS FULFILLED OTHERWISE SOMETIMES THE DATA IS
ALSO FETCHED FROM BUFFERS (TEMPORARY STORAGE AREA) SO AS TO
REDUCE THE LOAD ON DATABASE SERVER NOW AFTER THE DATA HAS
BEEN FETCHED IT IS ENT BACK TO THE APPLICATION SERVER AND
THE TO THE PRESENTATION SERVER (SAP GUI) WHICH FORMATS THE
DATA AND OUTPUTS THE DATA . THIS APPROACH IS CALLED AS 3
TIER CLIENT SERVER ARCHITECTURE .

In sap the overall design or structure of a orderly
arrangement of a bussiness or a work,And distribute the
workload to multiple systems like presentation,application
and database,
The client which send a user request to the server and
server will possess/respond to that request, hear the
presentation layer acts as a client and application layer
acts as a server.
No, after some drawbacks from two tier the sap is already
introduced three tire architecture
In one tire/central system only the presentation
layer,application layer and database layer will be their in
single environment only.
In two tire Database layer is in one system, and application
and presentation layer both are in another system.
In three tire three systems for three layers(database,
application and presentation).
