we planned our trip to us on june 15th 2009(booked the
roundtrip ticket). we got an appoinment on june 8th 2009
for the interview.we can show all the documents clearly.but
my doubt is only with the financial background.At present
we saved 65000sr.could anyone say howmuch we have to show
in our account for the interview or this money is
enough.expecting a reply fast.

Hi Maya,
Dont be under the impression that your bank balance may
create problem. However, there are lot of factors that the
visa counselor may consider such as :
1) bondings to your nation
2) legitimacy of travel
3) Intention to return back after a short trip.
They may ask any questions to satisfy the above mentioned
criteria.
Hence, please get your documents in order - and ensure that
your travel, stay and tickets have been taken care, if not
you need to show enough funds to manage your expenses in US.
If any of your relative is sponsoring then you can also
show proofs of sponsorship in US.

Hi, I applied for B2 visa in Jan.. it was rejected.. i reapplied in april it was rejected again.. Should I apply for F1 now as I plan to takje up a course too.. or how long should i wait for applying??
Hi; My aunt just got an interview at a US consulate in Dominican Republic and she was denied a visa in less than 2 minutes; the only question they asked was about her salary and she said was RD$20,000.00 (equivalent to around %575.00 US Dollars. she has all needed papers showing that she is financially good to pay for her trip but the officer was not satisfied with her salary. What should we do to get her a visa. actually she is a partner of the company that she works for but we need advise about this problem. thanks enrique

I am now 23 years old and currently working as a Software Engineer in TCS,India. My current salary is over Rupees 4 Lakhs per annum(INR). My father who is LPR in United States has filed an I-130 petition for me in june 2003 in F2A category. Since my father is still not an US citizen(as he travels frequently to US), NVC shifted me in F2B category as per CSPA rules. After this, it seems that the case will still take 2 more years.
