In this case the distance is the CONSTANT.
Distance = time *Velocity = K
Consider the velocity in the first case as x
then x*7 = (x+12)*5
x=30.
the distance is 7x = 210 kms.

s=d/t
s=x/7 where x is the distance traveled.
s+12=x/5
s=x-60/5
x-60/5=x/7 taking the value of s .
7x-420=5x
2x=420
x=210
kms is the answer

Let Return journey increased speed and train travels in
same distance be (A+12)*5
X= A*7= (A+12)*5
X=7A=5A+60
X=2A=60
X=A=30
X=30
