Noise may bge defned as the external signal which is
unwanted to the original communication, it may be of any
type.
Where as distortion is a problem associated with basic
message signal because of the addition of the noise. That
problem may be variations in the amplitude, phase or
frequency etc...

Answer / chhina
Noise: it is a unwanted signal . THUS THESE UNWANTED
SIGNAL IS REFFERED AS NOISE. WHICH DEGRADE THE THE QUALITY
OF THE SIGNAL.
Distortion; WHEN TWO OR MORE SIGNALS CONTRACT WITH EACH
OTHER(DUE TO IMPROPER LAUNCHING,THEN RECEIVED SIGNAL IS
REFFERED AS A DISTORTED SIGNAL. WHICH LIMITS THE POWER OF
THE SIGNAL.

Answer / ifraz inam khan
Noise defined as the unwanted modulation or unwanted signal that gets superimposed with the information signal
Distortion defined as any unexpected change in the shape of any waveform. In this case signal is no longer pure but it has additional frequency components which are known as harmonics.

distortion is caused by the non linearty of the devices
present in the circuit......noise is due to hum in the
power lines ....
