Section 80C. – Section 80C was inserted from assessment year
2006-2007. It provides deductions from gross (total) income
for qualified amounts paid or deposited by the assessee in
the previous year.
Main Provisions.
1.The deduction is available only to an individual or a HUF
from the gross total income,
2.The deduction is allowed irrespective of whether such
amount is paid or deposited by the taxpayer out of his
income chargable to tax,
3.The deduction is available on the basis of specified
qualifying investments/contributions/payments made by the
taxpayer during the previous year,
4.The maximum amount deductible under section 80C is Rs.
1,00,000. Also the total amount of deductions under sections
80C, 80CCC and 80CCD is Rs. 1,00,000.

If the total material cost of secondary steel products @ BSL, Jharkhand, is Rs.30 lacs exclusive of VAT @ 4%, ED @ 8.24%, TCS @ 1%, and the buyer is registered under the Company's Act, 1956 in Bihar, and carrys VAT & CST certification but no ED registration, then what would be the proforma of purchase invoice ? And if the Buyer sells the above materials with the conversion charges or profit of Rs.5 lacs within Bihar, what would be the proforma of Sale Invoice ?

Dear Sir, i am doing excise part, now I have a dout Please clarify any one. my question is I submitted July month return in before 10th August. But we sold material in july to x party excise value 12% - 1000, 2% - 20 and 1% - 10 Rupees respectively, we paid this amount in the same month it's no problem sir. but now x party reject the material and invoice in september month. may i adjuste above paid amount in september month return?
