Once the code is developed it is moved to test environment
through release management system.
In release only clear case path will be given.
From Clear Case code needs to be taken and deployed into
test environment then tester can proceed with testing.

here developers use source code to build the software,once
the software is build they deploy it to the test manager or
test lead.here tester job is to find the defect not to look
into the source code by using functionality specification.

Once the coding done Developer, one review meeting will done between testing team and developers where they discuss about how and where they will release software.
Generally they they put the build in "soft base" structure of project repository management from there tester downloading the the SUT(software Under Testing) for testing.

There are different regions are there in software
development process.
Development region and Test region.
After completing the development of the code,they will
promote the code into test region with permission of the
Test manager.
After promotion of the code, Release management will inform
the test manager, code is in test region for ready to test.
