Answer / karthick
if the frequency of the applied force is greater than the
natural frequency of the system vibration occurs.here if we
apply the force, the internal energy of the system gets
converted into elastic energy and starts to vibrate.at the
end of each cycle, the system tends to come to equilibrium
state.but it comes to rest only if the internal energy
overcomes the elastic energy.

Answer / karthigan
Vibration occur in bodies having mass and elasticity.
vibrations also occur below natural frequency..eg damped
frequency.. Vibrations occurs due to Strain energy stored in
it which acts as internal forces & kinetic energy... which
causes to & fro motion

Answer / manu
Vibration refers to mechanical oscillations about an
equilibrium point. The oscillations may be periodic such as
the motion of a pendulum or random such as the movement of a
tire on a gravel road.
Vibration is occasionally "desirable". For example the
motion of a tuning fork, the reed in a woodwind instrument
or harmonica, or the cone of a loudspeaker is desirable
vibration, necessary for the correct functioning of the
various devices.
