How a Call is made from PSTN to Mobile:

Joe to PSTN:
Hello, this is Joe. I want to talk to Lynn.
PSTN to MSC:
Hello, I have a call for Lynn.
MSC to all base stations:
Calling all base stations. Where is Lynn?
Base station #1: Base Station #2:
Base Station #3:
Is Lynn here? Is Lynn here?

Lynn to station #1:
(loudly) HERE
My ESN is 1123445
My Station Mark is 100 mW
Lynn to station #2:
(softly) Here

Base station #1 to MSC:

"A" wants to make a call to "B" with in a city using "pstn"
which is "PUBLIC SWITCH TELEPHONE NETWORK" OR LANDLINE
PHONE TO A MOBILE PHONE?
STEP-1
Call will go to MSC, Main switching center or a telephone
exchange.
STEP-2
EXCHANGE WILL CHECK THE DIALED SUBSCRIBER NUMBER, BELONGS TO
WHICH SERVICE PROVIDER IN THE CITY.
STEP-3
AFTER SEARCH,MSC WILL FORWARD IT T0 MSC OF DIALED NETWORK
IN SAME CITY.
STEP-4
MSC WILL CHECK THE LOCATION OF HLR(HOME LOCATION REGISTER)
VLR(VISITOR LOCATION REGISTER)OR IN ROAMING/OUT OF TOWN
CALLS.
STEP-5
MSC FOUND THE "A" IS IN THE CITY. CALL WILL GO TO BSC(BASE
SWITCHING CENTER )
STEP-6
BSC FOUND "A" IS CURRENTLY IS "XYZ" AREA BSC WILL FORWARD
INFORMATION TO BTS (BASE TRANSRECIVER STATION) IT IS USED
TO TRANSFER AND RECIEVE DATA IN TERMS OF TEXT AND VOICE.
LAST STEP
BTS WILL CONNECT THE CALL TO MS(MOBILE STATION)YOUR MOBILE
HANDSET.PHONE OF "A" WILL START RINGING.
