Hi all

@ anil,

I also heard abt that news that they need 28000 clerks so
the ratio of selection is 1:25 , one of the SBI officer told
to me. As the passing percentage in written exam is too low
, 99% of the applicants who are selected for interview will
be appointed.

@ poornima
nearly 25 lac were applied and 22 lac were appeared in the
written exam. SBIians planned to call 1 lac people . but
only 58000 people were passed in the written exams

This is Madhu. First of all Congrats for clearing your
interview.

I want to know about that u have noticed is that the 4 or
5 digit number beside our name in the call letter is the
rank. How could you say ? Please clear it yar

Hi Madhu,

The four or five digit number represents the order of the
interview process. and this is the same w.r.t. the category.

So i can say with confidence that the 4 or 5 digit number
has some relationship with the mark that we scored in the
entrance examination. This stands true for the candidates,
category wise.

Hi Nalini,

for the q. can we deposit money to other banks in
sbi atm's...

This question was asked to me, even though i had a gut
feeling that i cannot be done, to be on the safer side, i
said i dont know. The interviewer said that it can be done.
Moeny can be transferred from your account to ur friends
account, be it a sbi account or an account of some few banks.

Arvind Adiga won the Booker Prize for the book " the White
Tiger" dedicated to the people of New Delhi.

And friends, who have interview tomorrow or later, please
learn something abt the national leaders, and also the
history of india. like first governor general, first
president, vice president, etc.

Gandhi ji wrote the book " my experiments with truth,"

Nehru ji wrote the book " the gateway of India"

and go through a few points abt the finance ministry, the
ministers and secretaries.

another confusion i see interview rooms - the present
chairman of Reserve Bank of India is D. Subbarao and not
Y.V. Reddy.

Hiii...Shruti,

In respect to first question I told them that in Bank we
have to do both Marketing and finance related work as a
clerk.
As in marketing u have to satisfy customers and to promote
the banks products and in finance espect u have to do
backend work so since i have MBA duel specialization
(Marketing and Finance both) so I can do both of the work
for the benefit of bank.

In respect of Second question I replied that i will give
them the best services making them satisfing wid the bank.
But they asked that NRI customers come to india very rarely
then what will you do.
I couldnt give them satisfing answer but the answer is that
we can send them E-Mail and promote our products.

Hey Folks,

First of all gr8 hear the interview exp from
different frnds ....really its gud to see those questions n
it will help us a lot....this is sunny from vizag n my
interview is on 21st so regularl;y i visit this blog n
gathered lots n lots of info yar really it helped me a
lot....As i have ry less knowledge i couldnt post any
answers yar sorry for this...anyways happy to see the

hi friends this is saurabh from jaipur.i just finished my
interview on 16-10-08,in past i have given many corporate
interviews but belive me friends this interview was not
even nearer to any interview i have attended so far.or you
can say it as just an "introduction" meant to explore your
personality and you thinking.i diden't know when was
interview begun and when did it ended.

the interview panel consisted of four member(3 male,1
women),

they asked me some common questions therefore seekping all
the usual question i am posting only those question which i
thought were different

1.they asked me if you have visited any sbi branch what are
the good/bad points you find there.

2.do the introduction of private banks have helped the
economy or not

3.how can we say thet if you are selected you will remain
committed to the organisation and won't change the job

4.and some questions about mutual funds

so herewere some different question according to my view.i
hope this will help me friends who are tensed about the
interview.so guys be relex and rock the inteview with
confidient.

remember always enter any interview hall with a great smile
not with a sad face.
