Did u receive any letter or intimation of appointment order
as the joining date would be 5th till now i.e 01.01.2009 at
11.30 am we are not received any information. if u receive
or came across any information please do post in the blog.

Madan,

No letter yet for chennai circle :(

today the postman will not come. i expect to get the letter
atleast by tomorrow.

But i know for sure that the training session is going to
start from 5th Jan , at chennai and trichy.

These are only 2 training centers in tamilnadu, and i am not
sure how they are going to accommodate the students. maybe,
in batches, but how and when, needs to be ascertained.

if u get any sms or letter or email, please dont forget to
post it in here.

i was referring to some people who are disturbing the
friendly atmosphere here. like vivek ( duplicate) and others
who are using abusive language here.


Nitin, tarun, neeraj, jay ,shruthi, jaggu, and many others
are the regular posters here, and i could not stand them
being targeted.

Im not for a discussion into the matter here, but i shall

And I was going through yesterday's news paper and I saw an
advertisement of IDBI bank for some managerial post, in
which the qualification was graduation. The main thing was
that there was stated extra preference for candidates with
qualificaitons like CA, CAIIB, CFA, .....

So, I think CAIIB is not just for increments but also may be
considered for promotions. I am presently unable to get any
info on that as I am having some problems with internet at
home. So if anyone has any info on such exams, plz post
here and you can mail me too.

Ok Siva,

No need to take your word. I myself think Vivek and others
like him deserve what you said, but we also should be decent.

If we respond to such inexplicable comments, what is the
difference between us and them.

And about jaggu's post, those two exams are important and
they might be useful for our promotions.

So, let us work on it.

Hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR

@ Hyd Circle

I did not get any sms, i called LHO, Hyd on 30th, they told
they already sent sms and asked me to come to LHO. I went
the same day and found that i am supposed to go to SBI Hyd
Zonal office, Patny, Secunderabad. So all those who didnt
receive sms or letter, just go to the centre where u had
medical test.

Also today I received a letter from SBI, Hyd Zone, Patny
directing me to come on 3rd to receive appointment letter.

Also there is verification of original documents again. So
take all original documents without fail.

Also they want us to be ready on Jan 5 to report to place of
posting/training as the case may be.

among all of us guys who got appointment letter can u plz
post here that what are the all contents in that letter..??
we didn't get letter so we have to collect that from our
LHO till then can u tell us what are the contents of that
letter ...?? thankssssss

and when we will go to collect the letter is it necessary
to take all the original documents with us again ,,,,???
somebody told here.......is it right..???

if yes then how many times they will check
that.....ohhhhhhh I think after appointment they will say
to bring that certificate with us daily ....hahahaaaaaa

Feel free to contact 9492038751 Now some information regarding bank clerical interview is as follows : First Bank in India is Bank of Hindustan & General Bank of India, but they are defunt now. The oldest bank that is functioning today also is State Bank of India. It was established in 1806 by then British East India Company as a private firm in Calcutta as "BANK OF CALCUTTA". Later, its name was changed as "BANK OF BENGAL". In continuation to this, other two precidency banks were established in India at Mumbai - BANK OF MUMBAI (1840), at Chennai - BANK OF MADRAS. In 1925 these three banks were merged into one and named as "IMPERIAL BANK OF INDIA" under the control of Reserve Bank of India(1935). But after Independance of India in 1955 as per SBI act 1955, it was changed as "STATE BANK OF INDIA" with independent under Government of India. In 1959, as per 1959 SBI(Subsidiary Banks) Act, Subsidiary banks were started. Today SBI and its Associate Banks have more than 16500 branches with 52 Foreign Branches. State Bank of Hyderabad has 1104 branches, State Bank of Patiala has 750 branches. Other Subsidiary Banks are State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Travancore, State Banke of Indore, State Bank of Bikener and Jaipur. Recently in 2008 State Bank of Sourashtra was merged with SBI as a policy decision. In the current it on the process to merge SBH and SBP into SBI. According to a survey, in coming 10 years there exists only 6 national banks against 27 banks we have today. Apart from this we have 31 private and 38 foreign banks in India. Today Banking definition not confining to providing financical services, it is also extending to offering Insurance services, Selling Mutual funds, stock market operation as Depository participants. May be in coming days, Banking industry going to sell products, payment of bills of all kind, fee of all examinations with low commission/without commission in addition to the above.
