types of motors
ac motors and dc motors , dc motors are self excited and seperately excited , self excited are dc series motors ,dc shunt motors , dc compound motors. dc compound motors are cumulatively compounded and differentially compounded.
ac motors are synchronous and induction motors. synchronous
motors are salient pole and cylindrical rotor type. induction motors are single phase and three phase type.

Define what is power quality meter ?
when ac current flows thru d coil of a contactr,it energizes, magnetic field attracts d contact of the coil...nw wont dt ac current in d contct induce current back on to d coil thru mutual inductance leading to high currnt in d coil
what is the difference between 11kv and 13.8 kv? why we can't used one of these 2 sources?
Why 268hp induction motor taking different current in three different phases? (In which two phase having same current and one having higher value compare to other 2 phases.)
why current flows from +ve to -ve terminal
if i have to use 14 kw what size of power cable can i use and size of earth cable also.
why we measure ouput of transformers in kva.
In alternator generally we give DC voltage to field of alternator but field (excitor)produce Ac & converts into DC by rotating rectifier(RR ) then fed to rotor .my question is why we cannot give dc voltage directly to rotor instead of Excitor & RR ?
