usually it may settle,cracks.

RCC column-if foundation settle then column will develop
cracks

i know that, the for calculating material required for concrete volume of concrete is taken 50-54 % more for wet volume. i have querry is that cement and sand volume taken more for making wet volume but in the case of aggregate why it is taken more there is no change in aggregate whether it is dry or wet.???? can you give me answer for this???
