Acceptance testing is done when testing group is done with its testing. ie. execution of all the test cases, making sure that all the bugs are resolved and also done with regression testing of same.

We need to perform system testing as well and after that we can say we are ready for UAT

acceptance testing is done by the user and the manufacturer
of the software or you can say by the client to check
whether the system is working as per his/her requirements.
Its a kind of a black box testing but not done by
professionals (Software testers).It is often referred to as
a(n) functional test, beta test, QA test, application test,
