Functional testing means testing the application from login
to logout. i.es end to end testing
Functionality tests verify that the Product under test
complies with the working requirements laid down by the
client / customer.
Functionality testing is a 3 stage process that helps in
improving the quality of the product. The 3 stages being the
UNIT, INTEGRATION and the SYSTEM TEST phases

3. spell and grammer checking

GUI testing:
Is done to ensure that screen objects (buttons, links,
check boxes, radio buttons, scroll bars etc) appear and
work properly, navigation of screens and the look and feel
of the screens are as per the signed off baselines provided.

Functionality testing:-
In this type of testing, the software is tested for the
functional requirements. The tests are written in order to
check if the application behaves as expected. Although
functional testing is often done toward the end of the
development cycle, it can—and should, —be started much earlier.
Functional testing covers how well the system executes the
functions it is supposed to execute—including user commands,
data manipulation, searches and business processes, user
