The process of finding out a bug/defect as early as
possible from a software product or application prior to
deliver that to the market for the end-users or clients.

In V-model both testing and development done simultaneosly,we know that.But how can you say that both happen parallely.how is it related in real time?This question has been asked to me today only.Can any one please help me on this?
For a functionality we have 20 test cases, among 20 testcases 15 of them are Passed and 5 Failed. How will you report to your Manager ? Does the functionality passed or failed or partial passed/failed ??
