what is the different between primarykey and surrogated key.. why we are going for surrogatekey.....

Answer / g.v

Primary key as all of u know this is a unique key, surrogate
key is a non -intelligent key which is used to replace a
composite key

we are going for surrogate key bcz suppose a person is
living in one city and then moved to other and the person
id is a primarykey.we need to update the location then we
need to add the updated record but the primary key wont
accept to add the record again for this purpose we will go
for surrogate key
