There were companies where they had no documents at all.Then
Discuss the application scenario and functionalities with
the Business Analysts or developer. On the basis of that
discussion, prepared a document in consultation with
Business Analysts and Developers and then started writing
Plans and Test Cases.

A proffessional test engineer may not test the application
without BRS or SRS. But if the business is forcing we
perform exploratory testing. ie, explore the application,
learn and then test.

from Dev team or Business people based on that we will test
the application.

Writing or tesing the test cases without the
requirements is called agile testing. Generally we write
test cases based on the review meeting with the BA and the
clients. In this cases requirements may change very
frequently. This testing take more time and test cases then
the application with the requirements. While writting the
test case we need to interact with the developer very
frequently and attend the review meets.

u posted a bug with screenshots and steps to reproduce but still the developer is not accepting this is a bug. in dev system it is not reporducing . how u'll convince he developer? (if the developer is in india or onsite(give the answer for both the cases)
