Slowly Changing Dimensions are basically those dimensions
whose key value will remain static but description might
change over the period of time. For example, the product
id in a companies, product line might remain the same, but
the description might change from time to time, hence,
product dimension is called slowly changing dimension.

Where as Confirmed dimensions is some thing, which can be
shared by multiple Fact Tables or multiple Data Marts.

i Have created the universe in which i have one table and different derived tables from the same table i am supposed to create report from the same universe which should dispalay the duplicates rows, but all the time i run the report i am not getting the duplicate rows i have checkd the duplicate report option too in report.. is there problem with universe or report,.. can any body help?
