depend what the test is. If the test is to "Login", then
the test is PASSED. if the test is to verify the emails in
inbox, then the test is FAILED.

specification document the number of mail in the mail box
is low or high then that test can be failed

It depend upon your test condition and your expected result.
If in the Expected reult it has mentioned that u will get
this many no of mail then it is passed otherwise it is
failed.
