How can you test an application after production and
deployed in to the clients system by connecting to the
(Client's)server which is located somewhere in the US. I
mean how can you connect and test when it is at maintenance

For web application, tester will be provided with a URL to
connect to the server where application is being
maintained. As maintaince is mimic of production, we can
perform system testing

Siva,
As a tester, you will be provided with a network id in case
the app in test is client/server and not web. Your info will
be added to the maintenance database which will help you
connect with app. The network connection between your
machine and maintenance server will be secured and private
so there will be no issue of having problem with
connectivity. Your connection info will be put in URL
windows explorer from where you will be directed to the
server over the network. BABY
