PL/SQL supports 13 built-in scalar data types: NUMBER, CHAR, VARCHAR2, DATE, RAW, BOOLEAN, LONG, LONG RAW, BINARY_FLOAT, BINARY_DOUBLE, INTERVAL YEAR TO MONTH, INTERVAL DAY TO SECOND, and TIMESTAMP.
