Guaic test is a screening test to identify blood in the
digestive tract. It is most common form of fecal occult
blood test(FOBT). This test is performed either in home or
hospital.
The positive result of this test may indicate colon cancer,
colon polyps, esophagitis, gastritis,
hemorrhoids,inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer, GI
infection and esophageal varices.
