In a class of 60 students, the number of boys and girls participating in the annual sports is in th..

Answer / satinder

let total no .of girls participating sports =y
no of boys participating in the sports =x=15
participating ratio =3:2
so x/y = 3/2
15/y = 3/2
15*2/3 = y
10 = y
now total no of student participating = x+y = 15+10 = 25
total no of student not participating = 60-25 = 35
let no of boy in class = P
let no of girl in class = P+5
total no of student in class = P+(P+5) = 35
2P = 35-5 = 30
P = 15
NO OF GIRL IN CLASS = P+5 = 15+5 = 20
