Some persons decide to raise Rs. 3 lakhs by equal contribution from each of them. If they contribut..

Answer / suchi teegala

let there are x no of persons
let each person's contribution be y
given each contributed an amount of y to get 300000
therefore , 300000/x=y
given that if they increase 50 rupees in their contribution
then the amount will i ncrease from 300000 to 325000
therefore , 325000/x=y+50
on solving the equations
xy=300000 and
xy+50x=325000
we get x=500
hence total no of persons are 500 is the answer

Answer / samba

ans is 500.because
400*50=20,000
500*50=25,000
600*50=30,000
700*50=35,000
so here initially 3 lakhs.after they contribute 50 extra
then 25,000 thousand extra will come.so in the above
equation which one we get 25,000 i.e the answer.
