Dust is removed from a carpet, if we strike it with a stick, why ?..

Answer / sudhanshu

If we beat a carpet, the dust comes out because the inertia of dust is lesser than inertia of carpet

Dust is removed from a carpet, if we strike it with a stick, why ?..

Answer / daksha jha

This is because when we beat the carpet with stick,we apply
pressure on the dust particles of the carpect. On applying
pressure the kinetic energy of particles increases. As a
result the particles starts moving and we see them coming
out of the carpet.
