REYNOLDS NUMBER=INERTIA FORCE PER VISCOUS FORCE
REYNOLD NUMBER IS LESS THAN 2000 THE FLOW IS LAMINAR
MORE THAN 2800 THE FLOW IS TURBULAND
BETWEEN 2000 AND 2800 THE FLOW IS NEITHAR LAMINAR NOR TURBULAND

Answer / mustansir pancha
Reynold's number is the ratio of (density * velocity *
length) / (dynamic viscosity u)
It helps determine whether the flow is laminar or turbulent.
If reynolds number is more than 3000, then the flow is
turbulent in case of water.
It has no unit.

Answer / vignesh.p
Reynolds number is used to
find out the type of flow
ie.whether it is streamline or
turbulent...it has no unit

Answer / pkg
reynold number is dimension less number that is equal to ratio of inertia force to viscous force. Re tells about flow type tubulent(>4000) or laminar (<2000).

Answer / kundil phukan
It is the ratio of inertia force to the viscous force.According to reynold the transission from laminar to turbulent flow in a pipe depends on velocity, pipe diameter and kinematic viscosity of the fluid. At critical reynolds no of 2000 flow starts changing from laminar to turbulent
