When we involved in UAT if we find the defect then we
should intimate to the concern development team if they
have time to resolve that defect they can resolve. If they
dont have that much of time that will deliver the build and
that defect status is "KNOW ISSUE". That could be resolve
in next release.

UAT means user acceptence testing.once system level testing
was finished the test enginner do the testing userdesaired
area in the presence of user.
(At that time the may get any defect,if the defect is gui
the test enginner arise the diffect other wise he kept
silent.depending upon the swituation defect may raise may
not raise.
i can't say this is the exact answer.what i know just i
shared .)
