Ans) Controller- exe based.. should be installed in the
machine
Performance center- Web based.. It can be used globally by
booking time slots

What ever mohansundar said above is exaclty correct.
I will few more points to the above to make more clear.
Diff1:
Performance center(PC) is web based application which can be accessed any one from any where in the globe by simplay entering URL and credentials.
where as controller is native application which needs to be installed on your local machine.
Diff2:
PC is enterprise application.
where enterprises have multiple applications located in different places we can monitor all applications from single place and maintain centrally located database where anyone from any where can access and make updates
Since controller is a native application only one can access and make updates
Diff3:
PC can effectively use by booking time slots(reduce costs) which is not possible in controller,Every one has to buy license from HP.
Installing LoadRunner on 'x' performance testers PC's will be a lot more expensive than sharing it as a resource between them through Performance Center.
Diff4:
The HP Performance Center software can be centrally administrated.

I am facing the active Screen Problem in loadrunner.While runnning the script active screen pop up is dispalying, always asking for username and password.This popup having OK,Cancel and HELP buttons.After clicking any OK or CANCEL button , then only it is moving to next step.What can i do? I need to perform a 4hr test run in performance center 9.0 there i need to rampup 10 users after 1 hour. I selected the run tab and added users to down state -> Ready state-> initialise-> Run state. 10 users ramped up successfully for the next 1 iteration only after that the 10 users automatically goes to the stop status. But i want the ramped up users to be carried out for the next 3 hours. Please help me out how to do the rampup successfully for the remaining time period.
