It will execute the non-maskable interrupt after the
execution of the current instruction.

In practice you are alloved to have only one hop.
So one hop delay is about 300ms.if you make a call
from sat phone, there is a flag activates on SS7
network that to indicate one satellite hop. Which
flag will restrict you to go on another hop on the
same call. That means call should go through land
lines only after one sat hop.
If you have access to the telephone exchange you can
inhibit satellite flag on ss7 signalling and processs
the call on muliple hops.
ping is about 550-700ms
