What is meant by IP55 motor.Where it is used?..

ip mens protection
first digit protect from solide
2nd digit protect from liquid 55 mens dust and water
through any angle no any effect to machin

IP55 - means Ingress Protection(IP) these are protection ratings of motors like IP44 ,IP54, IP55 all these motors have different capacity and quality from protection view .protection from direct contact of any moving part or dust and water . IP55 rated motor is protected from direct contact of moving part , Dust of course we cant seal motor compeletly but we can ensure that we can prevent dust at a level which ssatisfying healthy operation of machine and finally water this type of motor is protected from water if thrown on motor by nozzle from any direction doesn't harm motor.
