what are the losses of capacitor??
Answer / kedam.koteswar
the losses in ac capacitors. All dielectrics (except vacuum) have
two types of losses. One is a conduction loss, representing the flow of actual charge through
the dielectric. The other is a dielectric loss due to movement or rotation of the atoms or
molecules in an alternating electric field. Dielectric losses in water are the reason for food and
drink getting hot in a microwave oven.
One way of describing dielectric losses is to consider the permittivity as a complex number

For polarity test on a 11/3.3kV 2.5MVA delta-star Unit Auxiliary transformer,415V 3-phase supply was applied at the HV. Connection between Aa was made with a 2.5mm cable. As soon as power was switched on the cable caught fire and burnt. This test was then abandoned. It is noteworthy to say that a similar cable was also used in a similar transformer for the same. The cable did not burn and test was successfully completed with good result. What is wrong? Please, help me out.
Why we use CT on differant phases of 2ph.PT detection for brush-less static excitation of 3ph.,400v Synchronous Generator? What happen if use CT on same one of VT phase?
there are a transformer and a motor. both are connected to 3phase, 415 Volt, 50Hz power supply. Both are working with induction principles. Then, why, motor is rotating and transformer is not rotating.
