the main difference was based on the load acting on it,and
the size.for smaller loads, screws are enough but incase of
greater-loads,bolts are to be used.

Screw having greater pitch than bolt for same size.Screw can tight & loose by screw driver whereas bolt by spanner or allen key. Screw used for light laod and bolt used for haevy load.

in bolt partial portion is threaded. in screw is totally threaded and screw having one end is shorper. bolt does not having shorper edge
