What is the difference between Corrective actions and preventive actions?..

Corrective actions are taken on discrepencies noticed during
inspection of products/documents/process whereas preventive
actions are taken to eliminate the possibility of
discrepency in future.

action taken that is corrective action. Taken any action to
prevent any abnormal condition in any equipments called the
preventive action.
