Answer / neerajyadav
shaft coupling are used to transfer power from driver to
driven by means of flexible and rigid connection. coupling
is used where distance b/w driver and driven member is
large, and it can not joint/connect by single shaft.
different types of coupling are used to couple the shafts
are flange coupling, muff coupling oldhams coupling, sleeve
coupling, universal coupling etc.

It is used to join two shafts for trasmission motion from
one shaft to another shaft,it may be either flexible or
regid type.
rigid coupling;(muff coupling,flenge coupling,marine
coupling,Oldham"s coupling)
Flexible coupling;(Flexible bush pin coupling)
