Hi There, I am currently studying my CCNA and doing quite a
bit of practice exams. I recently came across a questions
which totally confused my and I needs someone to explain it
to me please, the questions is: Which routes are contained
in the following summarisation address. 192.18.176.0/21. The
posiible answers are, A. 192.18.183.255, B. 192.18.159.2, C.
192.18.194.160, D. 192.18.179.4, E. 192.18.183.41, F.
192.18.184.45. According to the answer sheet the correct
ones are E and F, but when I work it out I get D,E and F,
please help

F is part of the 192.18.184.0/21 subnet, not a part of 192.18.176.0/21 subnet.. got it?

A,D,E 192.18.176.0/21 means block size is 8 and 192.18.176.0 will be NID. so according 3rd octate 192.18.176.0 to 192.18.183.255 is lies the range so answer will be A,D,E

Not to worry and dont get confused sometime in question they
make mistakes.what you have entered and studied is correct
ans to the question is D,E only as they have asked you /21
and as it is class c so till /21 common find out from option
A to F and we get D,E.

Q: why are switch trunking modes ( dynamic auto , dynamic desirable )used in switch while trunking? if only negotiation is the factor it can be done with one mode as well ie dynamic desirable . but why we need dynamic auto. coz it dsnt negotiates ..at all please post answer asap thanks :
