TO CHOKE OUT THE STEAM WITH FASTER RATE......
The increase in c/s section area to decreasing c/s reduces
velocity and increases speed of exhaust...........

Hyperbola curve gives maximum cross section area compare to any other shapes with same dimensions. so if we ulitize hyperbola shape for cooling tower it will give more cooling to hot steam ..
