Two cars travell in same direction at 40 km/hr at a regular distance. A car comes in a opposite direction in 60km/hr. It meets each car in a gap of 8 seconds. What is the distance between them?

Distance =100*8/3600=0.22 KM

car A: 40*8/3600 = 0.0888km FOR 8 sec
Car B: 60*8/3600 = 0.1333km for 8 sec
so total = 0.0888+0.1333 = 0.22km

so the two cars are at rest relative to each other... so the car A travels at a speed of 60*5/18 m/s.... it takes 8 seconds.. so the distance is 60*5/18*8sec =133.33m
