Pridictive maintenance is the technique to determine the
condition that when maintenance is require for the
equipment. It reduce cost of routine maintenance and time
based PM, while Proactive maintenace is the strategy of
maintenance to stablize the reliability of machines . Its
main activities are cleanliness, lubricant level, general
inspection,routine exclusion of contaminants,

Predictive maintenance is the techniqe to determine the
condition of machine by sensing,measuring tools etc.
Example- Suppose one fan having abnormal vibration that
findout by our sensing tools (vibrometer etc. ) and we
attend the job and rectified the current problem in fan.
but in proactive maintenance , we serchout the main cause
of the problem, which may, design problem, whether problem,
operation problem etc, that to do solve out the problem , i
think that called proactive maintenance.
