Answer / rsbangra
as per question bus coupler is couple two bus systems .
as otherways if two sourse of supply at same voltage same
frequency and and same phase sequence we can couple in
running and off condition of one source.
advantage
we can parralle two lines by bus coupler
we shift load one bus to other bus.
we can charge both bus by one sourse in case of one sourse
failure.

Bus Coupler is used to connect the two or more incoming and outgoing buses (Same voltage & frequency)and under the abnormal conditions we can shift the load on an other bus, without any interruption this is big advantage .
Types of Buses:
1. Fixed v & angle, vary P & Q
2. Fixed P & Q, vary V & Angle
3. Fixed P & v, vary Q & Angle

I need to compare the energy consumption of an industrial machine before and after improving. Shall I compare the apparent power or the active power? I know usually factories use compensated capacitors (or other similar components) to compensate the reactive power, so if I use the apparent power, it's not the real power consumed.
if the number of poles generated in stator and rotor side of an induction motor are different then what will happen and why?
could an induction motor be used for regenerative braking in electric-train control? in this type of application would some scheme have to be devised to obtain low synchronous speeds while braking? would induction-motor drive, therefore, be suitable for passenger service?
